Terence Watts is the founder of the Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis, the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, the National Register for Counselling and Psychotherapy, the Terence Watts BWRT Institute and many other web-based enterprises.

He has written dozens of books, courses, and training manuals and created several new psychotherapeutic methodologies, including Warriors, Settlers and Nomads; SymbioDynamics; BroadBand for Brains; and Brainworking Recursive Therapy (BWRT)

He entered the world of therapy in 1989, shortly after training as a hypnoanalyst and soon built up a thriving practice where he was in great demand. It was in 1995 after delivering a talk to a major therapy organisation about the role of personality in both physical and psychological illness that he turned to more research into how to reach the most inaccessible depths of the human mind.

Now approaching 80 years old, he is still as enthusiastic about research, discovery, and teaching, as ever.
