Herbal supplements such as horsetail, red sage, thyme, and red clover tincture, among others, are good for your bones for their medicinal properties. The active compounds, minerals, and vitamins they contain help in preventing bone loss. And, therefore, are widely used in herbal supplements.

Here are the different herbs for strong bones:

Horsetail

Horsetail (Equisetum) is another virtuous herb known for its benefits for bones thanks to its high concentration of minerals. Due to a richness in silicic acid and potassium, its remineralisation properties help in bone reconstruction, prevent bone deterioration, and help fix calcium. For the same reason, it is also good for cartilage, hair, nails, and arterial tissue.

For bone strength, it is also necessary to modify the acidic terrain, for which draining plants like horsetail are helpful. It acts as a diuretic plant acting on renal function and promoting the elimination of acids.

Consume it by making its infusion or get horsetail tincture and horsetail capsules in herbal supplement store.

Red sage

Red Sage (Salvia miltiorrhiza) has long been used by the Chinese as a circulatory tonic and a sedative against nervousness or sleeping problems, in particular. But it could also work miracles on our bones. Scientific evidence proves red sage’s role in preventing bone density loss.

A compound in sage helps block an enzyme, Cathepsin K (CatK), which causes the breakdown of collagen in bones and leads to bone deterioration. There are already treatments that aim to block this enzyme but they have significant side effects: increased risk of heart problems but also of skin fibrosis. Using natural herbs for bones can greatly avoid these side effects.

In addition, it is also rich in flavonoids, tannins, phenolic acids, vitamin K, and estrogen, among others, which make it a wonderful ally of health.

The best way to incorporate it into your daily intake is by consuming red sage tincture or capsules.

Thyme

Thyme (Thymus) is considered an all-purpose herb due to the presence of active compounds, minerals, and vitamins beneficial for the body.

Numerous scientific researchers have highlighted the anti-aging and antioxidant properties of thyme that help in preventing bone loss and the occurrence of other bone and joint conditions.

Rich in iron (especially if it is dehydrated), thyme contributes to the vitality of the body, contributes to the intellectual tone, and strengthens the immune system. Its calcium content helps strengthen bones and teeth.

But thyme is also rich in vitamin K, especially K1 and K2, which help fight bones and joints issues by encouraging calcium to bind to the bones.

In addition, the presence of antioxidants, the enemies of free radicals, fight against cellular aging, reducing the risk of other health concerns.

Use it in your teas and food or as a supplement in the form of thyme tincture or capsules.

Red clover

Red clover (Trifolium pratense) is a plant whose flowers are widely consumed in herbal teas. It has a name in the world of medicinal plants due to its numerous benefits, among which one of the most prominent is strengthening bones. Due to the richness of isoflavone, a compound that reduces bone loss, red clover proves to be an effective herbal plant for bone firmness.

One of the best ways to consume it is in the form of red clover tincture. You can also use it by simmering it in your herbal teas or infusions.
