Dr Charleen Adams is a geneticist and molecular cancer epidemiologist. She uses approaches within statistical genetics and clinical epidemiology to gain insight into cancer aetiology and progression in human populations and works at City of Hope, a cancer research and treatment centre in Los Angeles.
Her PhD is in public health genetics, which is a broad field that includes all areas of health. She enjoys writing for the public, especially on topics in psychology.
She describes herself as a scientist bent towards policy and change. She previously sat on the editorial board of Psychreg Journal of Psychology.
